The upcoming Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction Part 2 revealed an English-subtitled trailer ahead of the May 24 premiere date in Japan. Previously it was revealed that Inio Asano, the creator of the series, will be supervising the original ending.
Studio Production +h is in charge of the animation with Tomoyuki Kurokawa as the director. Reiko Yoshida is writing the screenplay, while Nobutake Ito is credited as both the character designer and chief animation director. Taro Umebayashi is composing the music. Second Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction movie shares the staff with the first part, which premiered earlier this year.

The movies are adapting Inio Asano’s manga series, originally serialized for 12 volumes in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits magazine. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and described the plot as:
The Japan Self-Defense Forces are combatting an alien threat. Meanwhile, Kadode Koyama and Ouran Nakagawa are tracking the alien’s movements on social media when they should really be studying.
