Fate/Samurai Remnant’s 1st DLC Drops in February 2024

KOEI TECMO has revealed that Fate/Samurai Remnant‘s first DLC, Record’s Fragment Keian Command Championship, will arrive in February 2024.

What exactly the DLC is about hasn’t been revealed yet, but the recently released teaser trailer hints at a battle tournament of some form that’s organized by Ruler Gilgamesh. The King of Heroes declares in the trailer, “As of this moment, I, king of all heroes, have seized control over your fates! Do you want to see your wish fulfilled? Do you seek peerless glory? Then here, in this place, make your might known!”

Fate/Samurai Remnant‘s other two DLCs will also be released sometime in 2024.

Fate/Samurai Remnant was released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam globally on September 29, 2023. The game is an action-RPG set in Edo Japan, with players controlling the Asakusa ronin Iori Miyamoto as he navigates the Waxing Moon Ritual with his Saber servant. Anime Trending writer Agnes Nguyen had a blast with it, stating in her review that it is “arguably one of the best fleshed-out Fate games in a long time.”

“I highly recommend everyone to try out this game or at least laugh and cry along with the dialogue that really pulls the story together. Perhaps this game will encourage future Fate creatives to think outside the box, experiment with new possibilities, and ultimately bring the franchise to newer heights,” she wrote.

KOEI TECMO GAMES developed and published Fate/Samurai Remnant, while Aniplex is credited with production cooperation. Kinoko Nasu supervised the title with Rei Wataru as character designer and Hikaru Sakurai and Yuichirou Higashide as story supervisors.
