Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night Previews Mei Kim Anouk Takanashi

Original anime Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night has received its fourth character trailer, which previews the composer Mei Kim Anouk Takanashi (Miyuri Shimabukuro).

Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night will premiere on April 6 (effectively April 7 at 1 AM JST) in Japan and has been licensed by HIDIVE. HIDIVE describes the premise as:

Shibuya is a city full of identity. It is here on Shibuya’s late night streets that illustrator Mahiru Kozuki, former idol Kano Yamanouchi, Vtuber Kiui Watase and composer Mei Kim Anouk Takanashi — four young women who are slightly outside the world — join together and form an anonymous artist group called JELEE. “I” also want to shine like someone else. If it’s not me but “we” then we might be able to shine.

The anime is produced by Doga Kobo with Ryohei Takeshita (Eromanga Sensei and Pokémon: Paldean Winds director) as director. A manga by Niko Fujii will debut in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app in April.
