2024’s A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics (Henjin no Salad Bowl) anime adaptation has received a teaser trailer and an announcement regarding its main cast members. An April premiere month was also revealed.
The core cast includes Makoto Furukawa as Sosuke Kaburaya, Yano Hinaki as Sara, and M.A.O as Livia.
A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics is based on the Shogakukan-published light novel series written by Yomi Hirasaka and illustrated by Kantoku. The story involves an encounter between impoverished detective Sosuke Kaburaya and Sara, a magic-wielding princess who hails from another world. As Sara quickly acclimates to modern-day Japan, Livia, a knight from Sara’s original world, becomes homeless in ours but finds unexpected enjoyment in her days. Sara and Livia’s positive attitudes end up having an effect on not just Sosuke, but other oddballs like a fiendish lawyer, a relationship destroyer, and a religious leader.
A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics began publication in October 2021 and has five volumes as of July 2023. It has also inspired a manga adaptation by Koutarou Yamada. The series falls under the Gagaga Bunko label.
