Aqua Hoshino Celebrates White Day with New OSHI NO KO Visual

The official English Twitter account of OSHI NO KO has released a special White Day visual and promotional video featuring Aqua Hoshino. White Day began in Japan in 1978 and often has men paying back the women who gave them chocolates and gifts on Valentine’s Day.

The first season of OSHI NO KO ran from April 12, 2023 to June 28, 2023 for a total of 11 episodes, beginning with an extended 90-minute premiere. HIDIVE, Bilibili, Netflix, and iQIYI were among the platforms that streamed the show outside Japan.

The anime series is an adaptation of the manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated  by Mengo Yokoyari, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump on April 23, 2020. Thirteen tankobon volumes have been released as of November 2023, with a 14th volume due out on April 18, 2024. 

Yen Press releases the manga series in English for North America, describing the synopsis as:

Gorou is a gynecologist and idol fan who’s in shock after his favorite star, Ai, announces an impromptu hiatus. Little does Gorou realize that he’s about to forge a bond with her that defies all common sense! Lies are an idol’s greatest weapon in this outrageous manga from Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish).
