Matt Olmstead and Dick Wolf’s Chicago P.D. to come back with new cases and criminals this year. Last season’s nail-biting ending left us with quite a handful of unanswered questions, including Samantha and Callum’s fate and whether Adam makes it out of the dangerous mess alive or not.
Sergeant Henry Voight is going to be in for an intense season with the way the producers keep bringing in twists and turns in Chicago PD’s storyline. The NBC series centers on a fictional 21st district and the crimes that take place in this populated city.
With the elite intelligence unit led by Hank Voight closely controlling the crimes that happen in this district, there are still a lot of criminals who keep coming up with their nefarious schemes.
The returning cast members for Chicago P.D.’s 11th season are Jason Beghe in the role of Voight, Marina Squerciati as Kim Burgess, and LaRoyce Hawkins will play Kevin Atwater. It’s still a big mystery if Adam Ruzek survives the gunshot and Patrick John Flueger will return to play the role again.
Chicago P.D. Season 10: Recap
With an interesting new chief at hand, Season 10 of Chicago P.D. started with Voight having problems with Upton and Halsted. Anna’s death came as a major shock for Voight, and he struggles to keep his Chicago neighborhood free from any crime.
The team then investigates all kinds of crimes like a mysterious set of pharmacy robberies, the disappearance of informants, and convenience store robberies, all while dealing with their messy personal lives.
Eventually, the storyline focuses on Adam and Samantha, as Sam’s father shifts the date earlier than anticipated. Samantha tries to leave Chicago, but Adam stops her. Adam is mad at Sam for trying to leave while hundreds of people’s lives are at major risk.
Adam lets Voight and the others know that Richard shifted the date and Sam was hoping to leave Chicago. Since Richard was a highly dangerous terrorist, the police department had to make sure that they stayed one step ahead of Richard. The only way to do this was to get Samantha to start talking about her dad.
If Samantha were able to provide all the information that linked her father, Richard, to the drugs and other crimes, the case against him would become much stronger. The department decides to give Samantha immunity against her father if she provides what they need from her.
Adam and Samantha later packed their things up and prepared to take Callum away from the house. Meanwhile, the Chicago P.D. investigates every spot that Sam had told them about. They find a bunch of drugs and stacks of cash hidden in the building. Voight and the others learned that Richard wanted to blow up the school, and that’s why he moved the date up.
Cal shoots Adam and later runs away with Sam. It’s only Voight who shows up at the right time and gets Adam to the hospital before he loses a lot of blood. Burgess and the others later corner Richard and Callum, and Richard ends up getting shot in the head for trying to run away.
While Voight takes Sam and Callum into custody, it’s obvious that although Richard is dead, his values and supremacist agenda will continue to live on in Callum, and he will soon become a major threat to Chicago P.D.

An all-new season of NBC’s Chicago P.D. will start airing on January 17th, 2024. Fresh episodes of Chicago P.D. Season 11 will be coming out on Wednesdays, with each episode lasting for a total of 60 to 65 minutes.

With the new season comes new responsibilities for Upton, who is asked to shadow a crisis prevention team. While Upton believes her ways of dealing with the team are good enough, her approach comes off as arrogance for the prevention team’s mental health clinician. Voight seems to wholeheartedly support Upton through this mess.
