The official Twitter for the KamiErabi GOD.app original TV anime teased a “Game Re:Start” message for the series in a special 15-second teaser video. The video’s release coincided with the anime’s 12th episode broadcast earlier in the week. The anime first premiered on October 5, 2023.
It was previously revealed in an earlier press release that KamiErabi GOD.app will have a second season that will premiere sometime in 2024. MBC Anime announced that the anime’s first season will consist of 13 episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime outside of Japan, where it airs on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block.
Hiroyuki Seshita (Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine) is directing the anime series, with Jin (Mekakucity Actors) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Atsushi Ohkubo (Soul Eater creator) as character designer, and MONACA (NieR:Automata Ver1.1a) as music composer. Keisuke Ide (Levius director), Yuichi Ishima (Knights of Sidonia co-lead layouter), and Ryouchimo (Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta director) are serving as assistant directors. NieR: Automata creator Yoko Taro is credited with the project’s original concept. UNEND is the animation production company.

The anime follows a young man named Goro who is roped into a dangerous battle royale with several unique candidates to become a god.
