Overwatch 2 Reveals Cowboy Bebop Collaboration on March 12 with Anime-Inspired Trailer

Blizzard has announced its latest in-game collaboration between Overwatch 2 and the Cowboy Bebop anime series, which will launch on all platforms starting March 12, 2024.

The collaboration was confirmed through a release of a new trailer stylized and inspired by Cowboy Bebop’s main opening theme song and animation sequence.

The collaboration will also allow players to unlock Cowboy Bebop-inspired skins, emotes, highlight intros, and many more special features with Overwatch 2’s recognizable characters. Yoko Kanno’s Cowboy Bebop musical score will also be featured in Overwatch 2 as part of the event.

Legendary skins that can be unlocked for Overwatch 2 characters include Spike Spiegel Cassidy, Faye Valentine Ashe, Jet Black Mauga, Ed Sombra, and Ein Wreckingball skin, the latter of which can be unlocked by all players for free. The skins will be revealed to players on the eve of the event going live in-game, on March 11, 2024.

A teaser trailer of the collaboration was released earlier this last month.

The Cowboy Bebop collaboration is the franchise’s second with a popular anime series, having previously partnered with One Punch Man during Overwatch 2’s third season, which included a Tatsumaki skin for Kiriko
