Famous American actor Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow Walker has officially separated from her partner Louis Thornton-Allan on 27 December 2023. The couple, who got married in October 2021, declared their separation on Wednesday by sharing a joint statement on Instagram, while they chose not to provide any comment to news sources.
The statement reads as follows: “After three wonderful years of marriage, we have come to the agreement to amicably separate. This is truly a united decision, and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy.”
The pair also added, “We maintain mutual love and respect for one another and will continue to support each other”.
In October 2021, Walker, who is a famous American model, married Thornton-Allan on a Dominican Republic beach. Close friends and family members, including Vin Diesel and Jordana Brewster, who co-starred with her late father Paul Walker in Fast & Furious, attended the ceremony.
Brewster, age 43, hugged Walker while Diesel, age 56, who is also her godfather, accompanied her down the aisle and stood with her, as shown in a black-and-white video of the wedding that was uploaded online.
Walker, at the time, wrote in the caption, “We’re married!!!!” and during the event, the then 23-year-old and Thornton-Allan were also reportedly spotted cuddling up in a white sedan.
Before the Heartbreaking Announcement
The day prior to the divorce being public, Walker posted a vacation carousel picture to Instagram with the comment, “Australia Forever.”
The 25-year-old was shown smiling in one of the videos while tending to a bunch of young kangaroos. She was also seen posing and grinning in another video during a round of crazy golf, while in the next, she was snapping a selfie with a friend.
Walker posted on Instagram in August 2021 to reveal her engagement to actor Thornton-Allan, where in a short video, she flaunted her engagement ring in a swimming pool and captioned it, writing, “<3 <3 <3 <3.”
On his Instagram Stories, Thornton-Allan also posted a video of Meadow smoking a cigarette while sporting the ring on her finger.
The two made their Instagram debut one month earlier, in July. After Thornton-Allan shared a picture of himself and Walker staring at each other with the remark, “Best friend💜,” Walker responded, “My love💜.”
Meadow’s Relationship with Paul Walker
Walker made her split public following a post honoring her late father on the tenth anniversary of his passing last month. On November 30, 2013, the legendary Paul Walker passed away in a car accident at the age of 40.
In a throwback video, Meadow surprised Paul on his birthday by showing him a tour van. Paul is heard saying in the clip, “You just scared the hell out of me. What the hell are you doing? Oh, man!” before sharing a hug. Thornton-Allan also respected the father-daughter bond by writing in the comment section, “Forever smiling on you ❤️.”
In honor of the actor on what would have been his 50th birthday in September, Meadow also wrote a message for him: “Happy birthday to my guardian angel 🤍 Thank you for your love, guidance, friendship, sunshine and for raising me to see all of the beauty in the world. You are the most kind, humble, generous, and caring soul I know.”
She further praised how she was raised by him within the short time they had together, “You taught me at a young age to always treat everyone with respect, to do good, and to take care of our planet. I love you and miss you every day.”
Meadow was born in Los Angeles on November 4, 1998, to Paul and his then-girlfriend, Rebecca Soteros. Her mother raised her in Hawaii, where she only saw her father sometimes. After that, she relocated to Los Angeles, where her parents split up her custody for a while before she moved in full-time with Paul, who was killed in an automobile accident less than a year later.
